Sam

Meet CQ NWO's Camp Director

Sam has been in the Camp Director role for Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario since 2020. Although her first year as Camp Director was not as she expected, she enjoyed working closely with the programming team to develop an inclusive virtual program to bring the camp magic home to campers, families and volunteers. Sam has been with CQNWO since 2016 and first became aware of what CQ was when her cousin became a camper at CQNWO. Every summer her cousin would come home from camp week, talking non-stop about the amazing time she had! It was clear to Sam that CQ made her cousin feel special and that it was something she needed to experience for herself.

As a business graduate from Lakehead University, Sam landed her first job after school with Camp Quality as the Marketing & Community Outreach Intern. She began the one year internship in October of 2016 and quickly fell in love with the goals and missions of the organization. Her first summer at camp made her realize why Camp Quality is such a rewarding and unforgettable opportunity. After the internship, Sam wanted to stay involved and was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be on the Camp Organizing Committee as the Co-Fund Development Coordinator. While in the role, she was constantly being reminded of why this organization is so important to her, the campers, volunteers and donors. She is so excited for the adventures ahead and can’t wait for the next camp season!
