CQ Alberta

A message from the Co-Camp Directors

Welcome to Camp Quality Alberta! 2019 is going to be a fun year. The challenge with every year is to make it better than the last. We can promise you this year is going to be just as amazing!

As well as our week-long camp this year, we have some fun activities planned for weekends throughout the year. Please look out for the newsletters for upcoming activities.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers. Without you, camp would not happen.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Camp!

Samantha O’Neill + Jenn Madsen
Camp Quality Alberta Co-Camp Directors

Sam O’Neill (Left), a High School Math and Science Teacher has been a part of the Camp Quality family for thirteen years, four years as a camper and nine years as a volunteer.   Her brother, Chase, was diagnosed with A.L.L (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia) at the age of 22 months, and they began attending camp together in 2007. Sam’s parent’s saw the need for her and Chase to have an experience to connect with other children going through a similar experience. Sam enjoys seeing kids grow and develop their skills at camp, stepping out of their comfort zone to try new things and build their confidence. Sam knew from the moment she was able to, she wanted to give back to the community that helped shape who she is today. She is looking forward to a new year of camp and exploring the new Camp Quality Alberta camp site.

Jenn Madsen (Right), Co-Camp Director was introduced to the Camp Quality family from her closest friends, Jenn joined the team in the summer of 2017. She quickly became passionate about being a part of the magic of camp and transitioned into the Program Coordinator role the following year. Jenn is from Calgary, Alberta and is working in the industry as an Interior Designer. She loves planning activities, being creative, and helping others out wherever she can. Jenn’s favourite part of camp is being able to spend time with all the campers and to help in any way possible to make it the best experience. In her spare time, Jenn can be found either kickboxing, wakeboarding, crafting, or spending time with friends.
