In it’s 9th year, the 2015 Bay Street Kicks Kid’s Cancer soccer tournament raised over $70,000 for our very deserving kids and was a great success despite some terrible weather. Over 175 players representing 13 different Bay Sreet law firms and financial institutions suited up in their colourful kits and took to the fields at the Woodbridge Soccer Club. Competition grew heated in the semi-finals and with BMO hotly on their heals, TD Bank eventually won the tournament, claimed their trophy and walked away with well-deserved bragging rights. Gratitude is owed to the many people who were instrumental before and during the event. Our thanks extend to the committee who helped organize the tournament, our 19 skilled referees, 12 wellness volunteers who made sure our teams were limber and injury-free, the Humber students who ran the Kidzone and the many volunteers from CQ’s board and its community of family and friends. We’re already getting excited for next year’s 10th anniversary!
