CQ Northern Ontario

A message from the Camp Directors

Welcome to the Camp Quality Northern Ontario webpage. Our Camp is located in a beautiful, serene setting at the west arm of Lake Nipissing. Most of the year, the sounds of nature engulf our camp and produce a blissful tranquility typical of the northern wilderness. Then, there is that one week in July…

The woods immediately become filled with the sounds of laughter and excitement. The field buzzes with activity and the water splashes to life. It is Camp Quality week and everyone is having fun. Our activities cover a wide range. We have airplane rides, fishing, swimming, crafts, skits, movie night, entertainers and so much more.

Last summer, our theme was ‘Fandemoniam’. This amazing Camp Week, as well as our incredible year round programs and support, would not be possible without the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers, the generosity of our donors and the trust of the families of our campers. On behalf of the Camp Organizing Committee, I wish to express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you.

Looking forward to Camp Week 2017! This year’s theme will be Fantasy – bringing the magic to life at CQ.

About Allison Kennedy

Summer 2017 will mark my eighth year involved with Camp Quality Northern Ontario, and my third year as director. I look forward to the most amazing week of my year each July on the beautiful west arm of Lake Nipissing in Monetville, Ontario. I’ve had the pleasure of volunteering as a companion one-on-one with a child, and as a team leader during the early years of our teen program. Working with such an inspiring group of children and their families during our year-round programming is the utmost rewarding experience.

About Allison Andlar

Having spent over twenty summers working or volunteering at children’s summer camps, there is no doubt in my mind that camp has the power to change lives – perhaps nowhere is this more evident than at Camp Quality. I began volunteering with CQNO as part of the medical team in 2007. Soon after that, I joined the Camp Organizing Committee, taking on the roles of Camper Registrar, Assistant Director, and in 2012 as Camp Director. After a few years hiatus to focus on a growing family (in real life I am an RN and a mom to three munchkins under 7), I am beyond excited to be returning to CQNO this summer as Co-Director.
